Tasting God
“Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.” -1 Peter 2:2-3
We often become so familiar with Scripture that we forget just how surprising the human imagery is that’s being used to connect us to truth.
-Crave
-Cry
-Drink
-Grow
-Taste
All of these words are drawn out of our daily lives. They are mundane moments infused with profoundly deep connections meant to contemplate as you experience them. Look at your life and ask yourself if you see the parallels happening in your own spiritual life?
Does your soul reflect a cranky, hungry, demanding baby?
Is there a naked vulnerability, a tender intimacy of God flowing provision happening in your devotional life?
Is there a fullness happening in your inner life that nears anything like a post feed baby and mother?
Have you tasted God?
